Television revolution is a big thing that is taking place in our time nowadays. But today I am going to talk about the color TELEVISION REVOLUTION.
The days that color television started broadcasting took place in the 1950's and 60's. Until 1953 TV was only black and white but when color casting began in 1954 there were few color programs and the receivers were expensive for most American families and because of this color television was extremely rare so “it took more than a decade for color television to become a household fixture". The astonishing thing to know is that in the 1950’s the only color program was the NBC.
Kris Trexler says: “The rich, beautiful color was simply overwhelming!” he also adds up and says that the improvement of the black and white TV was very clearly seen when it is compared to a standard broadcast. He also says that a normal viewer couldn’t help but to be impressed by the “lifelike” colors that we take for granted today! “The advent of color
television was truly a revolution!”
