New Technology!

Is there a new technology that is related to TV? Off course there is; today I’m going to talk about TiVo. What is TiVo? Someone answered this question by: “Here I'll give my definitive pitch, on why it's going to change TV, why everyone will eventually have one (or something like it), and why all of you without TiVos are missing out so severely.”

So the story goes like this “you connect your TiVo up to your TV almost like a VCR, and it's always on. All the TV you watch is through the TiVo. You tell it what shows you want it to always record, and it does. You also tell it what shows/movies you like or dislike (you rate shows/movies anywhere between three thumbs down and three thumbs up), and it learns what shows you like. Then any time your TiVo isn't full of shows and something comes on at 3:00am that it thinks you'll like, it records that too.” How cool is that? (http://www.keegan.org/jeff/tivo/whatistivo.html)

Imagine that you turn on your TV, you press on the TiVo button and this will bring up the main menu, --> chose “Now Playing”. On the screen you will see all the shows/movies that TiVo has recorded for you! You can watch these recorded stuff whenever you want; you have about 120 hours so there’s usually a lot of space thus a lot of movies to be recorded! Think about this for a moment let it sink in, did it? Good, now think about waking up a Sunday morning looking for anything to watch on TV and you find NOTHING that you are interested in! For me, I’ll definite go with TiVo! I’m thinking about telling dad to get us one :)

Statistics shows that TiVo had reached 2 million people in Sep. 2004, but this was changed by January 2005 the number reached 3 million.

There are a lot of options that you can do with TiVo like you can record a show while watching another recorder show! Or you can pause and rewind live TV! There are about 12 options with TiVo to see and to read each one of them go to:-

ARE YOU INTRESTED IN TiVo?
IF YES AND YOU ALSO LIKE TO WIN ONE YOU ARE ONE STEP AWAY
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE YOUR MAIL LOG INTO:-
